An excellent training weekend on Great Crested Newt Licensing and Mitigation in Shrewsbury led by Jim Fairclough and David Orchard. Great to learn from the experience of leading experts on planning and managing mitigation proportional to the risks involved. Over the three days the workshops involved compiling NE licence applications for scenarios from pipe lines through to large-scale phased developments.
The photo above shows the habitat management company Legacy delivering a demonstration of the range of GCN mitigation products available such as amphibian fencing types and newt friendly kerbs and drainage.
