Members of the appletons team visited the RHS Tatton Flower Show this week, there were some truly inspiring pieces of design. Congratulations to everyone for their hard work making the designs a reality.
Some of the noteworthy examples include the innovative ‘TFGM Bus Stop Gardens’ created by Oldham Council and Salford Council. As for the show gardens, ‘the Live Garden’ was a clever use of limited space, helping create a large garden in a small confined area. ‘The Bruntwood Experiment’ was very interesting, reminders of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and a rain forest feel, especially when the sprinklers came on. Also a very interesting garden, and deserved the Best in Show Garden Award was the United Utilities Slow the Flow Garden, where the attention to detail was excellent, right down to the pebbled filled gabions going from large to small in size. The cantilevered bridges and the use of steel channels criss-crossing the water flow looked excellent and inspiring.
Well done to all participants in this years show and congratulations on the high quality, excellent standard of work produced. Also well done to the RHS for another brilliant event. See you next year.
